About me

I am Tant Grön!

Tant Gröns kök is run by me, Jenny Haglind. I live in my dream house in the countryside in southwestern Skåne with my husband and our two children. The family also has a dog and a cat. In our family there is a great interest in good food. We always eat together and spend a lot of time both preparing the food and eating it. We liked meat before, but in the background there was a nagging thought that it didn't feel right to eat animals. We had long chosen animal products from animals that we knew were good - eggs from father-in-law, lambs from the sister-in-law, beef from an organic farm nearby. But still .... In the fall of 2016, we decided to become a vegetarian. It was not a very easy decision, especially considering our son who was 4 years old and loved sausages and liver pies!

 

It was a trip that made our family much more aware of what we eat and a largely new recipe bank!

 

Our great interest in our own growing of vegetables makes it even more cool to cook solely vegetarian! We live our veg life all the way from the seeds we put in the soil to the food we put on the plate.

 

I have a background as both a business economist and a teacher. The latter I have worked as for 10 years. With this in the bag it feels incredibly exciting to be able to share with me my knowledge of vegetarian cooking and cultivation.

 

Hope you also want to live vegan life and will be able to find inspiration and ideas on my site! Since we, like other parents, think it is important what our children get in themselves, great importance will be placed on the children's food. 🥰
